Department Chair of Endodontics addressed the 2024 World Congress of Dental Traumatology in Tokyo, Japan in July

Dr. Fabricio Teixeira, Professor and DEO of the Department of Endodontics, was a keynote speaker at the 2024 World Congress of Dental Traumatology in Tokyo, Japan. 

The event was attended by over a thousand participants from 57 countries. Teixeira's presentation took place on the opening day, July 12th. Additionally, Dr. Manuel Gomez (Endodontics), Dr. Marcela Hernandez (Family Dentistry), and Dr. Erica Teixeira (Operative Dentistry) were present at the conference.

Furthermore, Dr. Erica Teixeira, Dr. Marcela Hernandez, and Dr. Akimasa Tsujimoto (adjunct Faculty in Operative) were invited to speak as guest speakers at Tokuyama Dental Corporation in Japan, where they discussed the latest cariology materials in clinical practice. Dr. Satoki Kawashima, a graduate student in the Operative Dentistry Program, also attended the event.

During their time in Japan, Drs. Teixeira also visited Aichi Gakun University in Nagoya, where Dr. Akimasa Tsujimoto is currently the Chair of the Restorative Department. Their visit included the GC Center for Research, and the purpose was to strengthen global educational and research collaborations.
