The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics was named the winner of Iowa City’s 2023 Community’s Choice Awards for best dental clinic.

The yearly competition pits local businesses against each other and lets the community vote on their favorite companies. Each year, the awards recognize more than 360 businesses in more than 120 categories.

"It makes me very proud to see the community recognize the college as a leader in oral health care,” says Dean Clark Stanford, “Our college has excellent students who will go on to become leaders in dentistry and faculty members who are leading experts in dentistry.  All of our faculty lead by proving the best in patient care as part of the largest integrated group practice of specialists in the country.”  

After a nomination period and voting round, the college was named a finalist in August. Winners were announced in a special edition of the Iowa City Press-Citizen on Nov. 4.
