Chris Bogue, a 2002 DDS graduate of the UI College of Dentistry, was installed as the 161st Iowa Dental Association (IDA) President on May 3 during the IDA's annual meeting in Coralville, Iowa. 

Bogue was sworn in by Dr. Linda Edgar, American Dental Association President.

A native of Ogden, Iowa, Bogue graduated from the University of Northern Iowa before coming to Iowa City for dental school. He is a part-owner of the Carroll Dental Clinic in Carroll, Iowa, and works alongside UI dental alums Cathy Curry-Tigges, Katie Naberhaus-Jaffe, and Jay Tigges. Bogue is a member of the IDA and American Dental Association.

The IDA is the premier professional association representing dentists in the state of Iowa. In existence since 1863, the IDA is home to over 1,800 Iowa dentists, which represents approximately 80% of the licensed dentists in the state.
