The Department of Periodontics had a memorable weekend celebrating the graduating class of 2024: Drs. Ronak Bhagat and William Burns. The celebrations began with Dr. Joseph Kan’s lecture to Perio, Pros, and Operative residents and faculty on Friday. Dr. Kan, visiting from Loma Linda University, presented “Anterior Immediate Tooth Replacement: Lessons Learned over 27 years.”  The lecture was followed by a small group case discussion with the Perio residents.

The festivities continued over the weekend with a graduation luncheon on Saturday, attended by the University of Iowa Periodontics community and Herky himself at the Hawkeye Hall of Fame. It is always bittersweet to say goodbye, but we know Dr. Burns and Dr. Bhagat will always be Hawkeyes and will visit us soon. We are proud of you!
