Awotoye named TORCH recipient

Dr. Waheed Awotoye, a second-year resident in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, has been named the recipient of the prestigious 2025 NDAF-Colgate Trailblazers in Oral Health Research (TORCH) Scholars of African Heritage Fellowship.

On April 17, College of Dentistry students came together to celebrate one another during the College of Dentistry 2025 Student Leadership Awards at the Celebration Barn in Iowa City. 15 students and two faculty members were honored during the event for the positive impact they have brought to the college.
