Dental Assistant
Enhance the delivery of exceptional dental care by performing a variety of chairside duties for our dental & graduate students, and faculty providers! Duties include operatory maintenance, treatment prep, making dental radiographs, lab tasks, post treatment support and more. Duties vary throughout our 12 clinics! With a starting rate of $21.26 an hour, it will be easy to thrive in this collaborative and supportive environment!
Dental Assistant Lead
Expand on core dental assisting responsibilities by playing a pivotal role in supporting the team’s success. Take an active part in contributing to efficient operations within the clinic, helping ensure everyone is putting forth their best. Serve as a crucial liaison between peers and supervisor, fostering effective communication! Being a lead is an option as dental assistant or senior dental assistant, additional pay available for this designation.
Dental Assistant Trainee
Receive free on the job training to learn the valuable skills of being a dental assistant. This is a 12 month program that will help equip individuals with the experiences and knowledge needed for the state licensing test. This entry level role has a starting rate of $20.94 an hour with increases available at 6 months & 1 year! The dental college accepts two trainee's per year, learn more below!
Senior Dental Assistant
Be seen as the expert for advanced responsibilities on the dental team! In addition to the standard chairside duties, be instrumental in regularly implementing complex and intricate solutions. Help train others and highly contributes to the improvement of dental procedure efficiencies. This experienced role has a starting rate of $23.23, with a chance to lead and grow in a rewarding dental setting.
Intra-Oral/Craniofacial Surgery Technician
Be in a dynamic role on a surgical team! Be at the forefront of patient care, preparing individuals for oral surgical procedures, monitoring deep sedation, and maintaining surgical environments with precision. Sharpen your techniques including handling of equipment, supplies, implants, and aseptic technique. With a starting rate of $23.23 an hour, this level must have active certification in ACLS, PALS, or DAANCE, or must obtain before starting!
Minimum Dental Assistant Requirements
Must possess a current QDA, with successful completion of a CODA accredited dental assistance program OR one year full-time chairside assisting in four-handed dentistry method!
How does the program work? Is there a curriculum?
Yes, the program is a 12-month curriculum that includes on-the-job training, online coursework, and scheduled assessments. The first 6 months focus on basic dental assisting skills, and the last 6 months focus on the addition of rotations through participating clinics.
Are trainees guaranteed a job after 12 months?
At the completion of the program, the trainee will have the option to apply for any open Dental Assistant positions currently being advertised or be placed as a floater in the college if openings are not available.
Do trainees receive benefits?
Yes, trainees are full-time employees with benefits starting the first day of the month following employment.
