Office for Access, Opportunity and Diversity

The role of the Division of Access, Opportunity, and Diversity is to provide strategic and day-to-day operational leadership on all access, opportuniy, and diversity, programs, and practices for the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.  It is responsible for cultivating and championing access, opportunity, and a diverse collegiate environment for faculty, staff, students and patients.

• Implement the COD’s AOD Strategic Plan
• Provide AOD training and education
• Serve as a consultant on AOD related issues
• Promote diverse and inclusive recruitment, retention, and professional development strategies for faculty, staff, students, and residents
• Coordinate with collegiate committees
• Represent the COD at the university and national level
• Assist with AOD accountability policies, procedures, and reporting
