Dr Abhishek Parolia is currently working as an Associate Professor and Research Director in the Department of Endodontics, University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa, USA. He graduated from Manipal University and was awarded a gold medal in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. He has been very active in practicing micro-Endodontics for more than eighteen years and has vast experience in training young dentists. He has been the Associate Dean for Postgraduate, Continuing Education and Research in International Medical University, Kula Lumpur, Malaysia. He received his PhD from International Medical University, Malaysia. He is a member of American Association of Endodontists and International Association of Dental Research. He is Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FDS RCPS) and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (FDS RCS).He is an Examiner for the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS), The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. His professional accomplishments include research incentive awards in 2010 and 2011 from Manipal University, best newcomer in 2011, awards for invaluable contribution in leading ICDAS initiative in 2014, E-learning Innovation Award and best lecturer nomination in 2016 from International Medical University. He was awarded the best faculty presentation in 2017, International Association of Dental Research, San Francisco, USA. He has also been awarded for developing a new postgraduate programme in Endodontics, long service in 2022 and Teaching Innovation Award in AMEEE Glasgow 2023 (Team Category). His key areas of clinical interest are micro-endodontics, disinfection in endodontics, endodontic retreatment, regeneration in endodontics, vital pulp therapies, clinical audit, and governance. He has published more than 90 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and authored six chapters in different textbooks. He is an Associate Editor of Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics Journal, a reviewer for Australian Endodontic Clinical Oral Investigations, Journal, European Endodontic Journal, PlOS One, Scientific Reports, Italian Endodontic Journal, , Archives of Oral Biology, BMC Oral Health, Journal of Dental Education, European Journal of Dentistry, and a Reviewer Editor of Frontiers in Dental Medicine. He has conducted hands-on training workshops and lectured locally and internationally at many countries namely USA, Singapore, Brazil, Hong Kong, Dubai, India, Lebanon, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Belgium, Egypt, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Australia, and Canada.
