L. Brendan Young, PhD, MBA
Associate Professor
Introduction
After earning a Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of Iowa in 2008, Dr. Young taught patient-provider communication at the College of Dentistry before completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Veterans Health Administration and then joining the faculty at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities. In 2021 he returned to the College of Dentistry where he teaches and researches behavioral health, dental education, and empathic communication.
