"Pursuing Excellence in Endodontics" Presented by Dr. Antonio Berto

Presenter Information

Dr. Antonio Berto’s completed his dental training in Madrid, Spain, where he received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS.) degree in 2005. Previously, from 2003 through 2006, he attended Dr. Maria del Carmen Navarro (Odontopediatric dentist) and Rafael Miñana (Endodontist) private practice, in Madrid, Spain, for Clinical Observation and Assistance.

After he practiced general dentistry for one year, his mentor, Dr. Rafael Miñana, one of the founders of the Spanish Association of Endodontics, and the first exclusive endodontist in Europe, realized how passionate Dr. Berto was about Endodontics, and encouraged him to continue his education in endodontics in the United States.

In 2006, Dr. Berto became a Fellow in the Department of Endodontics Texas A&M Health Science Center—Baylor College of Dentistry. He continued his studies at BCD and in 2009 he was awarded a Certificate in Endodontics.

His research on Physical and Chemical Properties of New-generation Endodontic Materials received a grant from the American Association of Endodontics and was presented in Orlando at the Annual meeting of the American Association of Endodontics and also in the DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society. Dr. Berto’s research was published in the Journal of Endodontics, published by the American Association of Endodontics.

He also authored multiple articles in professional journals and publications, and has lectured both nationally and internationally. His research interest is in the area of anatomy of root canal system, dental traumatology and dental and pulp regeneration.

Dr. Berto has won multiple international awards, the most recent ones the Rodriguez Carvajal for the best clinical case published in the Spanish Association of Endodontics official Journal in 2013, and in 2014 he was awarded the first place on Gutta-core Challenge, for the best clinical case.

Dr. Berto is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, a leading honorary dental organization dedicated to the recognition of outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service, and the continued progress of the profession of dentistry for the benefit of all humankind. He is also Board eligible of the American Board of Endodontics since 2009.

Dr. Berto is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Texas Hispanic Dental Association (President in 2013), DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society (President 2014), and the Irving Dental Study club (Vice-President 2012), Seattle Study club (Founder member of Dallas chapter)

Dr. Berto has been committed to education since the beginning of his career. He has been teaching in the Department of Endodontics and at the AEGD department of Texas A&M Baylor college of dentistry since he graduated as an Endodontist.

Dr. Berto is married, has three kids and in his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and watching all types of sports, soccer being his favorite.

By embodying these elements, endodontists can provide high-quality treatment, ensure optimal patient outcomes, and contribute to the advancement of endodontics as a whole.

Refund Policy

  • Fees paid will be refunded less a $55 per person processing fee following notice of cancellation. Refunds will not be granted for cancellations received after the course begins.
