On June 24, 2025, the Department of Prosthodontics proudly hosted the annual Steve Vercande Award Ceremony during a special lunchtime event on campus. This year's award was presented to third-year dental student Emma Griffin, in recognition of her creative, compassionate, and inspiring approach to patient care.

The Steve Vercande Award honors the legacy of Steven "Steve" Vercande, a beloved member of the department, who served the college with passion, patience, and dedication for over two decades before his passing. The award honors students who reflects those same values.

Attending the event were faculty and staff as well as Mary Ann, Steve's mother, and Dean Clark Stanford. The group celebrated Griffin's achievement and honored Vercande's legacy.

We congratulate Griffin and extend a heartfelt appreciation to all who continue to carry forward the spirit and values that Vercande exemplified.
