The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics Student Research Group has been recognized for having the most student abstracts accepted for presentation at the 2026 IADR/AADOCR/CADR General Session & Exhibition.

The award, presented by the AADOCR National Student Research Group (NSRG), reflects Iowa’s longstanding commitment to student scholarship and research excellence. The college is a regular recipient of this distinction and is widely recognized for having one of the nation’s strongest student research programs.

Drs. Teresa Marshall and Eric Van Otterloo lead Iowa’s student research efforts, mentoring students as they develop, submit, and present their work on a national stage. Under their leadership, Iowa students consistently demonstrate exceptional scholarship and engagement in oral health research.

The college will be formally recognized during the AADOCR National Student Research Group Student Meeting and Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with the 2026 IADR/AADOCR/CADR General Session & Exhibition. The meeting will take place Thursday, March 26, 2026, where representatives will receive a certificate commemorating the achievement.
