Student Life
There is a strong and very positive attachment of the graduate students to the Operative Dentistry Department and their experience at Iowa. This is a result of the personal mentoring of the students by the Operative faculty. There also is a supportive relationship between the three classes where the entering students can profit from the second- and third-year students’ experiences. The Advanced Education Program director and faculty are very responsive to the graduate students’ needs, especially for international students to function in both the academic and Iowa City environment. Our alumni are very loyal to the University of Iowa and the Department of Operative Dentistry.
