Dental Public Health Grad Program
The University of Iowa College of Dentistry has received a five-year grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration to expand and enhance its Dental Public Health program. This funding will strengthen the bridge between academic training and real-world public health practice by increasing hands-on learning opportunities in public health clinics across Iowa.
Beginning July 1, 2026, the program will support 1–2 new trainees annually through 2030. Selected trainees will receive:
- Full tuition support
- Health insurance coverage
- Travel assistance
- A stipend starting at $67,000 per year
To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Strong preference will be given to graduates of U.S. or Canadian dental schools.
More information about the Dental Public Health program and application procedures is available on the program website.
