Financial Aid

Eligibility for financial aid is based on need established by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Admitted students and students currently enrolled in the College of Dentistry are eligible to apply for financial aid.

Students may receive Health Professions Loans and Stafford/Ford Loans. In addition, loans are available from private sources through the College of Dentistry. Scholarships are available from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Army National Guard and the National Health Services Corps.

Qualified dental students who are interested in research may receive the Iowa Institute of Oral Health Award.

Delta Dental of Iowa's FIND program offers loan repayment of up to $125,000 over a five year time period to dentists practicing in rural, under-served communities in Iowa.  FIND also offers $200,000 in loan repayment over a five year period to a dentist serving in a high priority county. This program can be utilized by both general dentists or specialists.
